Steve Gibson (grc.com) is a reliable source. I wouldn't be concerned about running something he supplies.

Gibson's site is good stuff. Although I differ from him on his opinion about WEP being the equivalent of @$$. Seriously...he acts like it's better to not use WEP than to use it at all, which is totally untrue. WEP by itself = not so good. WEP + other stuff (MAC filtering, no DHCP, disable SSID, change default SSID) is some pretty secure stuff...secure enough to deter 99.9% of people who can just as easily drive to your neighbors house and hop onto their unsecured network.

Anyone else at their work get something like this for the New Year? :naughty:

Due to a computer security threat the IT department is pushing out a windows hot fix which requires two manual reboots of the computer, so at your earliest convenience please reboot your computer twice so that the hot fix may be applied.

Now, I gotta "administrate" my home systems/network. Well, at least make sure the wife doesn't "break" it. :lmfao:

Anyone else get the Windows Advantage Validation Tool patch as well? I swear I installed that on my home computer already, yet I could be confusing it with one of the other 60 or so PC's I support :P Seriously though, did anyone else get it? I don't feel like digging through my log file to figure it out.

Mine only took one reboot
