ROYAL CARIBBEAN INTERNATIONAL AND CELEBRITY CRUISES PASSENGERS CAN NOW COMPLETE the dreaded airline and luggage check-in process for their flights home even before they step off the ship. A first-in-the-industry service called “Onboard Check-in and Luggage Valet” enables passengers to bypass traditional check-in processes, which reportedly cuts wait time by 45 minutes to two hours. The service, carrying a charge of $10 to $20 per person, is being rolled out at ports across the United States, based on approval by the Transportation Security Administration, Customs and Border Patrol, and seaport, airport and airline security personnel.
