LOS ANGELES - Angelina Jolie is expecting a baby this summer with Brad Pitt, according to a report on the People magazine Web site.

“Yes, I’m pregnant,” the magazine quoted Jolie as telling charity aid worker Monday in the Dominican Republic, where she is filming “The Good Shepherd” with Matt Damon.

The report says the pregnancy was confirmed by representatives of both stars but does not identify them by name.

The news comes one month after papers were filed to make Pitt the adoptive father of Jolie’s two children. Jolie sought to change the names of the children to Zahara Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt was filed.

Pitt accompanied Jolie to Ethiopia in July to pick up Zahara, now 1 year old. Jolie’s son, now 4 years old, was adopted from Cambodia.

Pitt and actress Jennifer Aniston announced their separation last January, and Aniston filed for divorce in March, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce became final in October.

Pitt, 42, has denied Jolie, 30, was behind the split.

Jolie, a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, recently toured quake-devastated areas in Pakistan with Pitt. She met with Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf and toured a town largely destroyed by the Oct. 8 earthquake that killed an estimated 86,000 people.

I have an aversion to Miss Jolie. It all started with that kiss she laid on her brother at the Oscars. Kept going with the Billy Bob blood necklace and came to the peak when she stole Brad from sweet little Jennifer. And I recognize he is just as guilty but you have to figure he was a good boy until AJ came along. I think the fitting punishment for him will be when she gets tired of him just like she seemingly has with every other guy. Takes his kid and off she goes looking for her next victim. If they make it together more power to them. But I don't see it happening.

I think she uses her celebrity power to do some good in the world which is more than most of them can say. She's good in my book.

at this point, i'm still not entirely certain if jolie, in fact, likes kids. a lot of celebrities use their children as a means to gain attention (gwen paltrow)...i think there is a good chance that jolie does the same thing.

having children (two very young ones like jolie's) usually involves a lot of hard work and effort. many, many sleepless nights, frustration, and most importantly-- sacrifice. someone with jolie's means doesn't need to go through any of that-- i'm sure she hires full-time nannys that can do all of the mommy work while she merely takes them out when she feels the need to gain exposure.

nothing against those who hire nannies. i am just annoyed at celebrities that use their children to gain popularity through the media.

i'm not saying that what she did to her children were awful-- i think adoption is amazing. again, i have nothing against hiring nannies either. i just don't look highly upon celebs that use their children as a means to gain more popularity. maybe she didn't intend for her children to be used to her advantage, but it has and that outcome has a lot to do with her personal choices in regards to the media and her children. there are other celebs (such as reese witherspoon) that are much more low key about their children. regardless, it is great to see that she and brad are finally getting married...very huge leap from mr. billy bob!

But what about the "good stuff" that she does... Half the time I see AJ, she is in remote parts of the world trying to do "good things" for 3rd world countries and such. Can't say that alot of Hollywood celebs go for that type of thing.

I dunno... you seem to have alot of hate for this woman over stuff that happens in Hollywood all the time. :shrug: Personally, I'm not a big fan of Jennifer Anniston... so i guess I'm just "meh" as far as she is concerned. BTW... isn't it weird that she and Brad never had a young'un during their marriage.... there might be a reason for it. :D

DK, I have no problem admitting that she is doing good, trying to help underdeveloped countries. Also, I think it is great she ,up until recently, hasn't felt the need to procreate. I just don't like her. I think what I hate the most is this woman who paints herself as upfront all the time would not admit to the affair with Brad. And I do think there was a" I want a baby and she doesn't " think going on with Brad and Jennifer. For all I know AJ might be a really nice person and JA a total biotch. I just don't think so. She just rubs me the wrong way. I'm not losing sleep over it and neither is she. Its just my thoughts on this particular thread. And I actually dont read tabloids, you cant believe 99% of whats in them. Most of my info on them comes from print news and TV news. And that KISS with her brother I saw w/ my own 2 greenies. :wow:

Saw the kiss on TV. All the Billy Bob stuff was told by him/her/both on different talk shows while they were married. Have since learned new stuff because her Dad Jon Voight is trying to reconcile via the talk show circuit.
He has been spilling his guts for months. And lastly, I read alot of the info on the net. Cox Cable home page, entertainment news. I read A Lot Everything, Magazines, newspapers,
the net, Anything I can get my hands on. Some of what I read actually sticks in my brain. :P
