I have a wireless card in my computer which has a 1.5 meter cord and antenna attached to it. Does anyone know where I can get a good extension cable for this for a decent price? Thanks!

Try:
http://www.demarctech.com/
http://www.hyperlinktech.com/web/antennas.php
http://www.pacwireless.com/
But be aware that the longer your antenna wire is, the more signal leakage you'll experience - it's possible to degrade your signal if your antenna wire is too long.

i seriously have no idea what i need, i have a normal PC wireless card and i unscrewed the short antennea from it. I then attached a wired antenna, like this one ( http://www.usr.com/products/networking/wireless-product.asp?sku=USR5484 ). I want a cord about 8-10 feet to extend this? Can you tell me exactly what i need? I am clueless!

I believe that if you put that type of antenna to the router itself, you wouldn't need to put it on the PC.
But there is no way to get around it. Like Jeffbx said you will lose signal.
Do not know your configuration, but in my case I have a Linksys router with the High-Gain antennas added to boost performance. They are quite expensive without rebates.
A very good idea is also to update your router firmware to the latest version. This will take care of any problems the router may have.
If you have an old 801.11b type router you can also go cheap by making your own high gain antennas. Just follow the link

Hope this helps

no i have that antennea that has the 3 foot cord attached to my PC, i just want an extension for it, there is some interference and if the cord was a few more feet, it would be past the interference and I would have a 75% improvement.

What router are you using or are you "piggybacking" from a neighbor?

i am using a linksys, see the antenea works perfect in my hall, but if i slide it back into my room about 6-8 feet or so, i lose over half my signal strength and link quality. that is why i was curious about the extension cable
i have the most recent firmware for it from linksys (model: WRT54G v3)

Wow that’s really a pickle. I encounter something like that on the past. in that case was the wall. Behind it the chimney passed so it interfered with the signal. In that case I installed an access point in the middle, but it can be expensive.
On another case it was with a Netgear and they had mahogany walls. On that case we installed the homeplugs.
I already talk with some sources to see if an extension cable can be put and were to get it. I am waiting on their response.

Cool, thanks for the help!
I just figured, i have everything set up the way I want it, if only the cord on my antenna connected to my PC where several feet longer, I would get so much improvement on my connection.
Thanks and let me know what you hear!
