Michael Cannon killed his girlfriend, their son and then himself in St. Louis.

Michael Cannon, a former bodyguard for rapper Chingy, shot and killed his girlfriend and their seven-year-old son, and then turned the gun on himself last Thursday (Jan. 5), reports the St. Louis Post Dispatch.
The newspaper reports that the couple had been together for 12 years and the incident may have been the result of a domestic dispute. The couple's relationship had allegedly gone sour in the past two weeks.
"It was like he snapped and lost his mind," said Charleston's sister, Jamie Charleston.
Cannon shot and killed Kim Charleston and their son Michael Cannon, Jr. in their apartment in suburban St. Louis. Cannon then allegedly turned the gun on himself and committed suicide.
The bodies were found after Charleston’s family called police when they hadn’t heard from her since 1 a.m. on Jan. 5. Police discovered the bodies in the apartment at 5 p.m. that evening.
