long story short, a 30 year old friend of mine just got his first car. it's a 90'ish civic. we're going to pimp it.
what sort of stuff can we get for cheap (total budget at this point is $125) to accomplish this?
we're thinking:
1. "dirty sanchez" graphic letters across the rear window
2. "toytoa racing" graphic letter across the front window
3. spinner hubcaps
4. flame stickers
5. some cigarette lighter plug in neon
what else? looking to maximize "bang for the buck"

I think you can pimp it up for about $5 using this guys method.

actually if you spraypaint the cardboard and do that, that could be pretty fun =P

i might try to find and old strap on bike rack and modify that. then i could make it out of scrap wood and it could be WAY more dramatic.
i don't like the idea of putting duct tape on his paint.

hmm...well without duct tape it would be really hard to hold the cardboard on. I say you put in an old 30 inch TV into the trunk and power it up through the cig lighter thing.
i saw one of my neighborings painting their CRX with spray paint. It was like 3 kids running around with spray cans.
Another idea would be seat covers? goto a fabric store and pick up some sheets and toss it over the chairs/covers maybe a tiger print..

are you TRYING to make it look bad? For $125, I'd get a mp3 CD player and speakers for the car (do the install urself to save $$...should be easy). Seat covers would be cool to, depending on how bad the fabric is. Or maybe a steering wheel cover. Oh, some car scent stuff would be cool too...go for the air vent-type.

yes, it's a joke. . .as should be the case with ANY early 90's civic that is getting "pimped".

Put any audio equipment by Jensen in the car...:heh: Prob find a Jensen 8-track at a garage sale for like $2 bucks.
That website was hilarious...I'd do that but I'd be wayyyyy too embarassed to drive a car around with cardboard on it. :hihi:

Get a bunch of fake fur at a fabric store, outlandishly colored is the best. It's probably $9 a yard, so I don't think you can get enough for the whole car.
Then glue it on the outside of the car. Then get two large plastic dice (not fuzzy) and hang them from the rear view mirror.

You've GOT to put a big obnoxious spoiler on the back of the car.
The larger and more neon in color, the better. :hihi:
