...............................
We regret to inform you that an error caused "Heroes of Might & Magic 5",

which you ordered from the [email protected] store, to be displayed at an incorrect price.

In accordance with our posted policies on pricing, we are unable to
offer this item for the incorrectly posted price. Therefore, we have cancelled your order for this item.
...............................

Not even a "oops, here's a $5 gift certificate..." like back in the day. They pulled an "oops, screw you!"

Oh well. I'll just keep getting my stuff at www.gogamer.com :thumb:

I don't know how places can advertise prices and then say "we messed up" sorry. You'd never get away with that in a brick and mortar place.

I don't know about that. Anytime I walk into my Circuit city, there's at least 1 (and sometimes 10+) sheets of paper hung up right on the ad rack that say "this was an error, so screw off".

If you notify the customer before they pick up the item, it's legal to do. I really wouldn't think it would be legal for an online store to be able to pull an item from out of your cart, but what do I know...

I suppose it's legal to do as long as they haven't shipping it OR charged you. I'm guessing if they do either of those, then they have to give you the price.

Most printed ads have a "not responsible for printing errors" disclaimer that they WILL hide behind.
