50+ Stanley Steamers come to Daytona

I snapped this pic on the way to work. I am bummed because all the hub-bub is going to take place tomorrow while I am working, but at least I will see almost 50 of them together tonight. If any shots come out I will post. Another cool reason to live in this car-crazy town.

Dang, I didn't know 50 of those things existed. I saw one at the Meadowbrook Concours (http://www.meadowbrookconcours.org/) one year - it's crazy to see a steam powered car rolling down the road. I would never drive one - I'd be afraid the thing would blow up.

Oh man - update - so I am looking at this beautiful Stanley race car (bet you guys didn't know these existed) and this guy starts talking to me about how cool the tiller steering was. No steering wheel because of the narrow confines. I look over politely and it's Jack Roush!! I am dumb founded, but my buddy who came along is already ahead of me (thanks Jack!). He is across the car with camera in hand. It's not the best shot, but I asked Mr.Roush if he wouldn't mind posing for a shot, he said sure. Here it is... funny, the rest of the photos were terrible. Dumb luck.
