ok guys ....so I'll be getting my camera on Friday, now what type of card should i get? i need one that will store many many pictures (512?) ....it'll be used on a canon sd400 (yey!!) .....help!

You will definately want a bigger one than that which comes with your camera. 512 will hold tons of pictures for you at 5mps. I would stay away from the cheap ones- I would be afraid of losing pictures. I use Lexar. SanDisc are probably pretty good too. I do not know if your camera can take advantage of higher speed cards so I would not worry about paying extra for a faster rated card. You should have lots of fun with that thing! Now look for a deal on Photoshop Elements. That is what I use to touch up my pictures. Might check this out once in a while too: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1010

Not sure what that uses for a battery (or batteries) but an extra (set) is a good idea.

Should work great. Show us some photos when you get some! I use Photobucket to host mine- it's free.
