I was the successful bidder three days ago for a used Plextor SCSI CDROM. The reserve price was only $1.00. Since I was the only bidder, I won it for that price.
There was no shipping cost identified. I have emailed the seller numerous times asking for the cost of shipping and he has not responded.
I am hoping the guy is out of town and he will get back to me when he gets home. He has a perfect eBay record.
Or maybe he didn't expect to sell it for only a buck and refuses to answer me. I would be willing to pay $10-$15 shipping, even though it would probably be somewhat less than that.
I am uncertain what to do right now.

You can contact him through ebay. They will give you contact information. Just tell them that he is not responding to email.
He's going to claim you are a non-responding buyer. If you can show that you did everything that you could to contact him you will be able to get him banned if nothing else.

So the auction said "reserve price met" at $1.00? Wow that's a low reserve. :heh:
Give him another day or two and then if you don't hear anything, call the phone # on his account. If a day or two passes and you can't get a hold of the seller, then report it to eBay that they won't contact you back to complete the transaction.
You could also contact other people who have bid on his items recently and see if they've heard back from the seller or not...that will give you an idea of whether or not the seller is 'avoiding' you.

That reserve price is so low it makes me wonder if he didn't just miss a zero when he was typing and didn't notice. :hmm:
