ok i have two monitors hooked up to my video card, 1 is a 19 inch lcd at 1280x1024 and the other is a tv from the svideo that is at 1024x768. LCD is monitor 1 and the tv is monitor two, is there a shortcut or a method to switch the numbers of the monitors without losing all my settings on each one. I can do it in ati catalyst control center but there is no hotkey for it that will save the settings and not set 1 monitor to the same resolution as the other. If anyone doesnt understand what im asking ill try to restate it, thanks.
(a batch script will work if someone has one but I dont know if that is possible, thanks a bunch :))

ok well since im still spending time on this, I figured it out and it works great i used "hotkey master" to change the resolution so I can see it clearly on my tv. yay :) and its all controlled by my remote :):):) i love this personal video thingy :)

i have it set up now that when i hit the a button on my remote it changes the primary monitor, changes the resolution, and then starts the tv program.
when I hit the b button, it changes the resolution back and switches the primary monitor back.
also I have a batch script running that runs at 2am everyday to remove the commericals from the shows i recorded
