The whole "drug free zone" BS is starting to bother me. So, the guy is going to get a stiffer sentence because of the distance he lives from a school? I can see getting caught selling drugs near a school resulting in a harsher penalty, but in your home is different.

:stupid: Our drug war is ridiculous in general, but a drug free zone policy around schools should only extend to public property, unless someone is providing students with the stuff on their pivate property.

Actually, I agree with the drug free zones. I simply do NOT want that stuff near a school. You don't know if they are really using it themselves or selling it to children (both of which is illegal) and I'm not inclined to take them at their word that they aren't going to sell them to the children.

That said, I don't have a problem with legalizing marijuana. Depending on how the law was written, I would most likely support it.
