thanks guys, had a great birthday. the big 30 it seems. i actually celebrated last saturday with a day long game of paintball and and evening of libations with at a bar while watching a grateful dead cover band.

i'm actually "done" with my house, at least done enough that we are finally able to get a mortgage. i've been holding of on post an "i'm done" thread 'cause my dayum camera broke so i can't take final pictures. it worked out well though, me netted about $22k :kaching: in sweat equity. we took it from the worst house in the neighborhood to one of the best.

i just hope the re-fi works out, my company went out of business in NC first of the year (i've been meaning to post about that too) and i'm changing careers so i have no job at the moment. as long at the paperwork gets done fast enough though, it'll be fine since my old company agreed to keep me on payroll for the duration of my severance rather than cut me one big check.
