I've read that earlier versions of Opera weren't completely compatible with javascript causing Gmail to activate in HTML mode. Everything seems fine now in release 8, except there are still a few annoyances. For example, when I start typing in an address in the recipient field in the "compose" window, gmail is supposed to give me a drop-down with all the address in my address book that start with the same letters. This feature doesn't work. Does anybody else have this issue?
I also have another javascript-based webmail service that I use, and when reading messages the text window slowly resizes (shrinks) itself so that after about a minute I end up with a vertically long slender window. I have to refresh the window so that it returns to its original size.
Java and javacsript are all enabled in Opera's advanced settings. Are there still javascript issues with Opera?
