S: Bringing lunch to work and finding out it tastes like crap

I'm a Hot Pocket fan, tried and true. (Well, moreso Lean Pockets, but nevertheless.)

Usually they're on sale really cheap...5 boxes for $10, weeks worth of lunch (if you will). I usually go with the time tested Cheeseburger ones, but sometimes I do a little variety or try new ones. Last time we went to the store, I bought a box of some I had never tried. Lean Pockets "Ultra" Supreme Pizza. Didn't really care about the "Ultra" part, didn't really pay attention...I was more like "ooh supreme pizza, yummy".

I brought them to work today and while I'm getting ready to put them in the microwave, I notice that it says the crust is like mixed grains or something. At this point I'm cautious but hope for the best. The 'nuking' commences and I take a bite.

These things are disgusting. The bread/crust on them is absolutely disgusting. Granted, I'm a person that tries almost everything once, and I can eat a lot of food that other people consider "gross"...but I'm shocked that these actually passed taste tester approval. I thought *I* (apparently) ate gross stuff, but I guess there are people out there who outgross even me. :heh:

I guess the "Ultra" part and the fact that they have the lowest fat of all Lean Pockets is because they're too gross for anyone to eat so the pounds just 'melt away'. :hihi:

So now I'm stuck at work with nothing to eat.
Looks like I'm stuck going out for fast food...somewhere. :shrug: *sigh*

that does suck, usually when I bring something different into work to eat, I'll bring in another trusted food with me just in case

hahaha. start walking around all the conference rooms to see if there's any leftovers from meetings =P that's what i usually do when i forget my lunch :-P

Well I went to Quiznos. :)
Got a regular Honey Bourbon Chicken on wheat bread and a bowl of broccoli cheese soup.

Mmm mmm yummy ;)
