I'm selling a visor platinum and a visor neo on ebay. and this is a question I got from a potential buyer.

"Hi
I would like to bid on this item. I am in Scotland, UK.

I realise that the item description says that you do not post to the UK so I
would ask you ship to my brother-in-law's address in Iowa if I win the item
(unless you would make an exception and ship to the UK). If you are willing to
ship to the UK then I would be opting for the cheapest rate, even if very slow.

Depending on weight this is usually USPS surface mail.

But my main question is would you accept a bid from me from the UK, shipped to

IOWA, with payment by Paypal in US dollars?

My feedback is good, this works.
Thanks "

He has a 100% positive feedback, with a score of 79. Should I deal with him? he sounds legit.

It might be ok, as long as you ship to his paypal confirmed address, which probably isn't his brother's house in Iowa. If you do just make sure to follow Paypal's seller protection to the letter which would include shipping with tracking, not something available on the cheapest method I would assume.

You've already got the email proof that he requested this, so IMO/AFAIK you're not liable for anything assuming that you provide proof that you shipped it to his requested address.

If anything happened and he cried 'foul' after the fact, you've got proof to reply to Paypal or eBay with - so I don't see how it could backlash at you.

You could ship the item(s) via Priority Mail Global or FedEx Express International; I think the PMG would be the cheaper of the two. I've shipped things to Canada before via PMG and it was only a few dollars more than regular (within the US) Priority Mail. I'd probably try to ship it to him directly before I offered to ship it to a 3rd party, but that's just me. I still say either way, you're covered enough with the proof that you already have.

I would also definitely contact (email) sellers who have left him positive feedback and ask them if he requested the same of them...that way you know if he's done it before and thus if he's legit or not.

I'd go for it. For the most part, people are good. And, well, if he doesn't pay, then you don't ship.
