his pic o' the day ends up here, so i figured it was appropriate. I think of G|A as a comp/deals website so anything else is OT.

Those are some nice lenses. I cannot change the lenses on my camera:

What I do like about it is the size, features, and quality of pictures I can get. If I had to carry around all that gear, I would definately take many fewer pictures. It is just what works best for me. My lens is equal to a 28mm- 200mm which is a nice range. DSLR images can be better, but as you have seen, I can still do a pretty good job!

yeah, no real exciting news from this year's PMA for me and my canon...except for the canon ef-s 17-55mm/f2.8 USM IS. too bad it'll cost $1,000+. it would be a perfect replacement for my sigma 18-50mm/f2.8 EX DC.
maybe there's more surprising news canon has up its sleeve.

Nikon has had the 17-55 for a couple of years now albeit w/o VR. Supposed to be a great lens and a great focal length.
Sometimes i wish i had more cash to plunk down on excellent gear, but most of the time i just do the best with what i have...
