So we're going to Italy in a few months. Some of you may remember that I won a trip to Rome from NRP 1.5 years ago. We're just now getting around to going. NPR is picking up the tab for 4 nights in Rome, we're adding 3 nights in Sorrento.

So, I need some advice from you world travelers. First, Hotel. I'm looking at this one:
http://www.expedia.com/pub/agent.dll?qscr=dspv&&itid=&itdx=&itty=&from=f

Anyone ever stay there? Have any advice for a better one? Need to keep it under $600 total for 3 nights.

2nd, travel to Sorrento. We'll flying into Rome, what's the best way to get to Sorrento? I'm thinking about renting a car if it's a nice drive. Or should be take the train? There's a high speed train that goes to Naples, and then we still have to get to Sorrento.

3rd, what to do in Sorrento and Rome?

Thanks yall.

Go to Paternopoli and take pictures of all my relatives for me..LOL there are a ton of them..eat, drink and be merry!..and take loads of pictures..sometimes, unplanned things-are more fun than planned things..perhaps you can find a nice cafe, with some great bread, olive oil and cheese..mmmmm..do one of those Rachel Ray "40 dollar a day" trips-take loads of pictures, go into the churches and make a wish in every one, hunt down some olive groves and take a tour,see the little towns, and avoid the big cities...Can I PLEASE GO WITH YOU????
