I'm sure there are free barless ISPs around sadly I don't know of any. I'm replying just to let you know that you might have better luck posting your question in the Need Deals forum, not to mention avoiding some flames ;) here is the URL: http://www.gotapex.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?forumid=19&daysprune=

http://www.altavista.com, they offer free isp with a banner, but you can take it off by going to http://www.unhuman.com and download window sniper. Use window sniper to make the banner disappear.
I have no problem with Free DSL dial up, it works great, even better than the isp that I have to pay for.

Do you have the url? I try http://www.Freedsl.com, but it seems to redirect you to winfire.com, and i didn't see any dialup stuff there.
how about nocharge.com?
or freei.net and diap up through dial up networking?
with http:/www.kill-banner.com you can get rid of other banner ads

I've been using Freeatlast.com now for months with great results. No banners, no fees, just click on the dial up icon then open IE or NN. It's been working out really good for me since Freewwweb went to Juno.

That's not even remotely true. You compare AOL to any of these free services and you get a winner with the free service. My favorites are altavista, and mypoints recently. Those have ad banners, but they're not very intrusive.

Freeatlast provides free unlimited dial up access without any bars. it is really fast for a dial system. I use it for my laptop.

I like FreeDSL.... not only are there no banners but it seems to connect to sites quicker than AOl.
For the person who didnt know how to get started with the dial up, juist download it and sign up...then all you have to do is login and setup the dial up configurations...

Several more of the free internet providers went out of business due to lack of operating funds. If more people find ways to avoid clicking on the ad banners, then the free ISP services will continue to disappear as they run out of funds.
Freeinternet announced that they will go out but transfer some of their members to NetZero before they close shop.

Anyone want to buy a u.s. robotics modem? Anybody want to buy a 33.6 ext. u.s. robotics modem? I highly doubt it. 56k sucks now... well my email addy is [email protected]
for some hopeful person who wants a modem. Note: any one know how to disable the idle disconnection for free at last?

Freei just laid off 90 employees (Sept 29) in order to save money to continue operation. Freei is famous for having its users hack/kill the banners.

ZIPLINK is an underlying provider of services to any number of free ISP services. ZipLink is currently UNABLE to meet its financial obligations to pay its bills to Worldcom by November 10, and so may be going down. So, all of the rebranded free ISP that are based upon ZipLink might be having problems soon.
