Man, so I went to the gym today and realized it's hot as hell and the new pool complex they had been building for the past 2 years is open. It's like a resort pool but on campus! How bad ass is that? Goto class, go work out, go hang out in the pool. If only they had a pool side bar :king:.

Good to see those tuition dollars being put to good use. :P

If you went to MD it was included as a recreational fee regardless if you used the facilities or not. In my last 2 years they finally created a new gym that had an olympic sized pool, outdoor beach volleyball court, basketball court, squah room, martial arts room and I think a ping pong room.

What a great facility, it looks like hotel/spa grounds. It was probably built with endowment funds and is called the "Biga$$ Donor Name Athletic Facility" or something like that.

Ya, it has a lot of spa-like stuff, I guess:
Heated Outdoor lap pool
12 lanes, 25 yds.

Heated Outdoor leisure pool
5,600 sq. ft.

Heated Outdoor event pool
2,200 sq. ft.

Heated Spa
20 person capacity

Poolside Café

Deck space and lounging ledge

Reservable areas

Wireless Internet

All outdoor pools are heated
(82 - 85 degrees)

I don't think this was the work of a big donation by a Texas-Ex though. There isn't a name attached to the new complex, but there is a $0.85 fee / semester for each student.
