man i'm in texas 1800 miles from michigan my home and may have to put replacement heads on my 1998 f-150 with a 4.6 v-8. there maybe a plug hole problem where it is letting pressure out and popping the plugs wires off my no.5 and no.6 plugs.
i reset the wires and they pop off in like 1-2 blocks of driving and the check eng. light comes on. also it starts missing. :(

??? You mean pressure is leaking past the threads and past the plugs? Can you feel it? How is that possible if the plugs are seated and torqued properly?

Did a quick search. You have aluminum heads? Looks like the next step is the plugs popping out. 8] I wouldn't stand anywhere near the engine with the hood up while the engine is running. That sucks the big one. The heads have to come off for the repair. Dude, so sorry to hear.

If you haven't looked at this forum already, www.ford-trucks.com is an excellent source for Ford trucks. When I had issues (ok, maybe not had - still do have) with my 98 Explorer, I had a lot of questions answered through them.
Can't wait to trade this in for something smaller and faster...

Wow, that sucks dude. Being far from home and having car problems isn't a good scenario. I hope things get better.
