the most important thing is airtightness. this is pretty much the only design feature the differentiates one from the other, the rest is asthetics. when you open lid about two inchs or so, it sould not "bang" or "click" or "tap" when it closes. The air pressure should cause it to "whoosh" and close gently. given that, I would never buy one online unless they had a return policy.
in regards to 150 count humidor, prices are all over the board. 200 is about the cheapest your're likely to find one of these with any sort of quality, you could easily spend 500-600.
I'll say this though, 150 is too big IMHO. Keep in mind that you need to keep that many cigars in it for it to work right. It's no good keeping 10 or 20 cigars in a 150 count box. i know that, for me, the number of cigars i have on hand varies greatly. i'd rather have a really, really, really nice 50 count humidor for "show storage" and a cheap (but high quality) homemade one to store any over that amount.

spanish cedar is what it should be lined with. make sure you get a good guage and a good sponge. these things can be replaced.

i meant to say this earlier, but instead of a sponge i use Dry Mistat. It's a tube with these crystals in it that absorb and release humidity. They'll maintain 70% humidity in an airtight container and stay moist for months on end. The net result is less maintenance.
