avaratec laptops?

so, still looking for laptop. dell's offered me $50 off to try them again, which i'm considering. but i saw the avaratec breand at staples the other day. they have a 13.3" that i really like...has a full size keyboard unlike the 12" dell.

anybody have any experience? anybody tired of all my laptop threads yet :hihi:

I dont know whether I would recommend the Avertec's. At the retail store I worked, 2 of the Display model's stop working. It was not beat up or something but it just wouldnt turn on. The Avertec's Turion model is really nice but it was one of the model which died. Are you on a budget for the notebook? If not check out the Asus W5. Really nice thin notebook. Toshiba has a nice 12' laptop. I dont like the Sony's Either

A guy at work bought one a year ago, it only had a 90 day warranty. Day 93 the hard drive went and he replaced it. A month later the motherboard fried.
