dvd shrink & Nero

I keep getting an APTI (or something similar, I dont have the laptop infront of me for the exact error) error when shrink has finished it burn and ready to go to DVD, any possible help on this. Thanks.

forgot to add I'm using Nero 6.

ASPI or ASCII error?

Nero doesn't like a lot of CDrom drivers that some programs install, especially video recompression or editting software.

google ASPI Layer Nero for help resolving the issue. You will need to install a dll file (that I don't have at work, now).

if you've recently updated nero (in the last 3 months or so) that's the problem. uninstall nero completely, re-install from cd, and then download the two updates for the two components, nero burning rom and nerovison express. use an OLDER update for nero burning rom... the last version that didn't cause this kind of crash was 6.6.0.18 (just google it, it's around for download... not at the nero website. their newest update is 6.6.1.4, and it's what's causing your problem.) you can then update nerovision to the most recent one (3.1.0.25) available at the nero website or anywhere else, and it'll be fine.

oh, and ithink it's ATAPI error... or something... anyway. just got this resolved myself. lots of different suggestions out there on the web, but this is what works.
