for all you photography (professional or not)...is there a good resource online that you can suggest that would help producing professional-grade (or prof.-like) looking pics using a standard digital camera and photoshop?

i've tried the search and only came up with like the "pics o'the day" threads...btw, i have a canon sd400 and photoshop 6, and i'm planning on getting a tripod...i know that some types of photographs may require different or new equipment, but i'm just looking for a starting point.

these are basically what i'm trying to do (target goal pics:)

...please ignore that fact that these are "ricer" cars, they were taken off a car-enthusiats forum i frequent/lurk

***btw, just a suggestion, perhaps g|a could benefit from a photoshop/photography sub-forum***

These pictures were of course taken with a camera (SLR or highend Point-and-Shoot) but the "looks" were produced mostly in Photoshop. Of course a basic understanding of how to use your camera will be important, but you'll benefit more from learning the basics of photoshop(layers, gradients, level/curve control, burning/dodging, sharpening, etc.). Here are a couple photography sites that I frequent.

www.Photosig.com (high-quality galleries by advanced users)
www.luminous-landscape.com (lots of tutorials and tips)
http://www.earthboundlight.com/phototips.html (similar to above)

There are more, but I can't remember. I'll provide more when I get home.
