I've actually seen something similar like that happen..when I was in high school, a guy who lived around the block from us and had just gotten a new baby blue corvette (that his mommy and daddy bought him with inheritance money from his wealthy grandpa)..he had gotten rip roarin drunk one night and decided to go for a ride..it was summer and the road crews had torn up part of our street because they were replacing sewer pipes-they had cones all over the place alerting NORMAL non drunk people to the fact that there was a giant hole in the pavement..apparently he didn't see them and OOPS..there he went into the hole..what a bummer-couldn't have happened to a nice guy..(ps, his family tried to sue the city but lost the case)...lol
