Why do some people have a "Show Desktop" icon ON their desktop?

I wonder the same thing. I've had users move it from their quick launch toolbar to the desktop. Guess they just don't get it.

That might be even more ridiculous than closing a program every time instead of minimizing it...that drives me nuts!

I have a user who has a habit of sending an email, then going to their Outbox and hitting Send/Receive "just to be sure it goes"...

Windows Key + D= show desktop, baby. Much faster than trying to find an icon, if you're proficient with a keyboard.

Windows + M minimizes everything as well.

I use the show desktop button all the time. but those shortcuts are great! thanks! lol

I use Windows key + D all the time. I also have a button on my mouse that does the same thing. Love it.
