laptop purchase advice

i'm planning on buying a budget laptop and saw these 2 deals:

hopefully these 2 links work. one is a toshiba sold at compusa and the other is the compaq 2000 at office depot. considering that the toshiba already has wireless and a bigger hdd which one do you think is a better laptop? thanks in advance.

i bought my wife one of those cheap compaqs a few weeks ago...no problems with it at all. really good looking display. her's has built in wireless though.

What's your budget?? Either go with Toshiba's Or IBM. HP is also pretty good. Dell is cheap and I really question their build quality.
