Sorry mod-dude.
Yup, Nickel, I'm in MO. Looking at the radar, it was a very long, very thin storm that ripped through the majority of the city.
Yeah, EsDee, it's a crabapple tree.

glad you're ok..big storms are cool.
that was a little tiny tree..my neighbors had a 300 foot pine tree that was about 100 years old come crashing down on their carport a few years ago..it took out their Lincoln..whatashame.

Yeah, I got pretty lucky. The big trees are in the backyard.
I noticed that if you look at the house on the right in the photo, you'll see my neighbor had a piece or two of siding come off his 2 story house. Overall, we fared better than a lot of other people.

yeah, it's a huge storm system... i'm 180 miles NW of you, and we got hit by the same line-up of storms. we had a big party at our house last night... spent a good hour of it cowering in the basement as 40-foot trees got ripped up and tossed about the neighborhood by a tornado. miraculously, no houses damaged. i'd go out and take pics, but there are still winds up to 45 mph today, and our neighborhood has trailer parks on three sides of it, so... i'm keepin my butt parked in the basement for now :P

Glad you're OK. Jeepers, I'll take an earthquake over a tornado. I couldn't stand the waiting. Guess I've grown accustomed to the earth shaking every few years.

Up our way, it was just some strong winds and thunderstorms. Glad everyone's ok in the southern regions.
