Prepaid Cellular Phone Service

Ok I figured I better move this to the need deals forum...since I am asking for help now. :)

Anyone know of a good prepaid cellular phone service? The AT&T Nation Wide PrePaid Service looked great but they are saying my area (Charleston SC.....good size city) is not able to do this deal. If fact most of SC can't use AT&T Cell Service. Like I said before I really hate talking on the phone, just need something for emergencys and if I have a real important call to make. I also needed one with a telephone number (like the AT&T Service) so people can reach me if something happens.

Any ideas? Oh and if possible no monthly fees like the AT&T Plan (damn them!!!!!). :mad2: Thanks!

Is prepaid service really the best solution for this scenario? I though prepaid minutes actually expired afterawhile. Maybe that was just the gay company I was looking into. Also, ATT seems to have the best coverage of anyone I have seen. I wonder who does cover SC if ATT does not.

Ya I thought the same thing....ATT would cover my area. According to all the maps they do...but they are saying they do not. Oh well. :(
