View Full Version : Converting MCE video into DivX

I have Windows Media Center Edition, and while some may argue with me, I personally think it's a great OS. However, it uses a special format for saving recorded TV shows (I think it's called DVR-MS, and it eats up a LOT of disk space).

Anyways, I'm wondering if there's an easy way to convert the videos into standard DivX format. If there's even a way to easily remove commercials, that would be a bonus.

You're in luck! (At least for the commercial stripping part).

Try out DVRMSToolkit. It can convert to MPEG w/o commercials, and you can probably convert to DivX from there. I use it and Videora to convert my stuff to iPod video format.
