Very Suckage that's for sure..

I have spent the better part of the last 3 days in my doctor's office, and the hospital-for tests..the usual, Xrays, blood work, the dreaded ABG (ARterial blood gasses-which hurt like a -pardon my slang-motherf*cker), blood cultures x2, etc etc..
So now the diagnosis is Pneumonia..don't know when I got it-or how..but it's there..and I just got back from the ER because I was could feel the lungs filling up with fluid and that freaks me out..so they gave me an IV, did more blood work, and sent me packing..Unfortunately for me, I have some pretty severe allergies, so my choices of meds are limited-this is going to totally blow. I won't be able to sleep again tonight because I"m sure I'm going to smother in my sleep (I do panic a bit when I'm here alone)..oh well if I do-it was nice knowing "most" of you ... ;)

Ok so I lived through the night..barely. I actually went to bed and got kind of smothery..so I grabbed my blanket and a few pillows, and headed for my cozy computer chair..propped my feet up on a coffee table and actually caught a few ZZZZ's about 5am..The lungs felt "ok" today-not as much coughing..but the side effects of the medication is making me a regular visitor to the porcelain gods..so besides the puking, diarrhea, nausea, dry heaves, dizziness, and severe stomach cramps that I'm getting from the meds, I guess I can say I"m better than yesterday. blah..thanks for thinking of me...
and Cheapie..there is nothing worse in the world besides vomiting and that is dry heaves..I'm sure I'd prefer the broken elbow again instead of this..(which btw never healed correctly and is still in an permanent typing position and still does not rotate..do you know how hard it is to pay for coffee at the DD drive up window if your arm doesn't rotate..IT SUCKS)

well, after the trip to the ER..I came home with a different perscription and hopes of feeling better-that has not happened. Saturday, my MD called me to see how I was..sh*tty I told him..still smothery, coughing etc..and naturally, from the abundance of antibiotics-still trotting to the bathroom every 1/2 hour or so..because of all the fluid loss, my blood sugar is WAYYY out of whack..not good..he tells me to eat yogurt...like that is going to make my freakin chest feel better..anyway-he tells me to call him on Sunday with a report, and I do, and he doesn't call me back for 5 hours..good thing I wasn't critical..when he does call back, he says he wants to see me this week for a recheck, and a repeat chest xray..ok I say-I'll call the office tomorrow (Monday) morning..when I call, they inform me that he's not going to be in the office all week and that the only time I can see him is Tuesday..wtf? I'm getting really pissed off at this guy..
anyway, I'm still sick...and tomorrow I have a repeat chest xray. thanks for asking.
