Hi kids. My boss is looking to put a couple of video cameras in his house and vacation house. I'm starting to look at them now but didn't know if anyone here currently uses one or has any brand recommendations. Features I'm looking for are: ability to record to a PC for later playback, optical zoom, camera control via internet.

Any ideas/experiences? Thanks.

I know the X10 wireless color camera's do that but I am not quite sure about the control via internet.

find on you like then google the model #+review and see what other ppl think. I have usedseveral differnt ones before in a wireless class. we used a access point and hooked up a differnt antennas and to the AP's then hooked up a wireless Video camera, and a IP telephone placed them around campus on wooden bases and as we saw ppl walk by we would call the phone.

thy all worked about the same.

I have a couple of wired cameras which record all detected motion to a PC. This is the place (http://www.securityideas.com/)that I went through, and they were very cool about answering all my questions. I am sure they would do the same for you without trying to pressure you into a sale.

I used to work for a similar place for a very short time, and I would definitely go the wired route. You can have so much fun with the PTZ cameras.
