I used the borders coupon last time. You have to join the borders book club, but membership is free. You just give them an email address and they send you promotional stuff every once in a while. So it was overall very painless.

The only downside to my experience was that even after the 30% discount, the book was more expensive than amazon. I suggest making sure to compare prices before you use the coupon.
