I have been trying to figure out a way to take a PDF file and edit text. Seems simple enough but I can't seem to find a way to do what I want. I'd like to take a file that I have scanned using paperport or e-faxed into a pdf file and edit the text like I would a word document.
Any help or suggestions on software to try please let me know.
Thanks,
Jason

After you scan it, go into your paperport and drag the document to the word icon. From there, you should be able to save it as a word document and edit it. Then save it as a pdf file.

:agree:
If you can get your document into Word or another editor, you'll be much better off. PDF isn't really intended to be edited, though it can be done.
The expensive way is to get Adobe Acrobat Standard (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatstd/main.html) or Professional (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatpro/main.html). ($300/$450)
The somewhat cheaper yet still pricey way is Foxit PDF Editor (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/pe_intro.php). ($99)

I don't buy much software. I prefer free alternatives.
I will tell you that this is one I did buy, and that it was worth every penny of the $40 I paid for it: http://www.verypdf.com/pdf2word/index.html
