well, last weekend i went to my good friends' wedding, on a gorgeous day held outside, with an equally great reception. There i met this beautiful girl who immediately melted my heart. Though shes based out of Cali visiting to atend the wedding (And im here in NJ), it didnt dampen my resolve. She was a ray of sunshine in my darkened room of a heart! i cant stop smiling when i think of her. Man, she's beautiful!
Yesterday i called up Dell to see if they can adjust the price of this wonderful LCD screen i got last week, since the price dropped $36 less yesterday. I didnt even need to plead much, and the girl on the other line gave me a $40 credit! how sweet is that?!?
Speaking of that LCD, i finally got a matching pair to my 20.1" LCD - side by side it looks awesome! theres nothing like a lot more real estate on your screen...
And earlier last week, i was gonna change phones, but cingular wanted me to change plans, when my plan was just fine. theirs had less features for more money. They said if i changed the phones, or if the phone broke, i will have to get the new plan. fsck that! i got me a very good inexpensive phone, unlocked it for free (gotta love the internet!), and put my SIM card in it, and VOILA! new phone, same plan. ha! it had its rough start, but im starting to like the phone too.
then tomorrow im going to this VIP pre-show party for Marc Broussard, courtesy of a friend of mine - she got the invite by one of the sponsors, and wanted me to come along with her. FREE TICKETS! VIP PARTY! Free BEER AND FOOD!!!
Then today i just found out that Little Willies is going to be in town this friday (cinco De Mayo!). If you dont know the band, i dare you to google it up - you will be surprised whos in it! ;) Of course theyre playing this small venue, and its of course SOLD OUT. But a search of tickets produced a pair, and IM GOING! WOOHOO!!! whats great is that i paid face value (actually a buck less!), cuz the guy said he couldnt go, and didnt want to scalp it (good man!). I would have paid more, but this was just a stroke of luck!
And hopefully later this week or next week, i get this small digital camera that ive been lusting for a long time now, which i got for a very good discount.
Now i could have gone here and listed the most awful things i had to go thru the past month (and what i think will have to go thru the next few months), but lord knows we have so many problems ourselves, and thats one less thing we want to hear. Why not tell people of the good fortunes we got, you know? Maybe it will help others out of their funk, give them a bit of hope.
Life's little celebrations - theyre the best. Im just grateful i can enjoy it among the strife we all endure.... :)
