I am going to grill some veggies later and was wondering what spices might taste good on them. I have red, green, and yellow bell peppers, as well as squash and zucchini. Anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks in advance.

I'm a keep it simple kinda person. Add garlic and call it a day.

Paul Prudhome's spices, for veggies to blackend redfish are great. Dunno about ability in CA, though, but it's worth a look.

Really, whether you want to add pepper or not depends on your palette. Pepper may be in order if you're a smoker, but if you want to taste veggies (not everyone likes the taste of veggis), leaving it out might be best.
I've never been a big fan of veggies, but my g/f is and she loves the "30 minute marinades" from Lawry's. Her favorites are Tequila Lime (which goes great on chicken too) and Lemon Pepper.
I will say that you will need more than 30 minutes for them to really taste great.

For the squash and zukes (works for eggplant and asparagus too): Marinate them in a little balsamic and extra virgin olive oil (much more balsamic than olive oil - ~4/1 ratio). Dice up some garlic and add that to the marinade. Then add some salt and pepper. Let them soak in the marinade for 30 minutes or more. Stir the marinating veggies a few times. Grill. Yummy!!!! :)

Yummy. One of my favorite ways to prepare them. If you are going for the more plain flavoring - I say go with Obby's suggestion. Dang, I'm hungry now. :)
