I got a good deal from them a couple months ago but then they added a feature that jacked up my bill by $250 more than any other month ($0.40/min). So I was faced with a bill of about $350.

Color me surprised.

So I called them and told them that this wasn't supposed to be that way. That I wasn't informed of that change. So they did the following.

1000 minutes for $59.95
Free internet, text messaging and picture mail
7pm-7am nights and free weekends
Free in network calling
Free Roaming
Then they gave me a 20% discount on the bill each month
My work provides me with an additional 16% off of that.
$5.00 per every 50 min over the plan

Basically it comes out to about $45 including taxes each month. I have 3 additional phones on the plan for $20 more.

So basically 4 phones for $65 a month.

I'm happy.

i have a pretty good plan myself with sprint. i threatened to cancel after 3.5 months of service and willing to pay the cancellation fee because they wouldn't give me free nationwide roaming (i had a nationwide roaming plan for the first month, and changed to to local roaming).

patched me over to retention and gave me:
1000 anytime
nights starting at 8PM
nationwide roaming
1-year contract
$40/month

woohoo. but i'll probably move to verizon next month since it's the only company that has service in DC's subway system.

I only have 410 minutes, unlimited after 8pm and free Sprint to Sprint for $35.

I really need to call and threaten to change services. While I've been moderately happy over the years with Sprint, my phone is about to crap out, and my minutes sure could be extended, as I'm still on the .40/minute overage plan. And the 7pm nights would sure be helpful. I pay a similar amount, but get nowhere near the service you're getting.

Any advice on what to say? The other companies' deals look a lot better, and my contract should be up soon, or at least up for some sort of renewal/money toward another phone, etc.

Damn you talk on your phone alot. Do you have a landline phone, or is your cell your only voice device?

Sprint give you a $150 instant or mail in rebate after two years and another two year commitement. If you go to the Sprint website and look at thier specials it breaks down what rebates you qualify for and when your contract expires.

Since I've been with Sprint for 10 years, I'm hoping to bargain for a deal with about the same amount of minutes, txt messaging and internet access for less than 50 including tax.
