Always glad to help! And didn't Love Potion #9 have Sandra Bullock in it? I'd pick that one, because I used to be into her.
...which of course helps you tremendously with your selection.

Excellent movie... That was the first one I thought of off the list. Fonda was amazing in it

12 Angry Men is a great film. It's an oldie but goodie. It will keep you in a movie trance no special effect really. And it was done in one take. One of my favs.

It's a great story with great suspense and plot. Sort of like the way castaway was for Tom Hanks

12 Angry Men is my first-tier suggestion.
then, it would be Hackers (for pure campiness) or Man in the Iron Mask (it's a brainless but relatively fun adventure movie).

Johnny Dangerously - I could very well be the only person out there who thought this was a really funny movie. When he claims he can park in a handicapped spot because he is psychotic still makes me laugh.
Twelve O'Clock High - A classic western. You can't go wrong with this one.
Romancing the Stone - Yes it was an Indiana Jones rip off but who cares. A really fun action movie. This is probably the one for you.
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes - Another classic.

Hackers
12 Angry Men
Trapped In Paradise
And yeah, they all kinda suck. Reminds me of the BlockBuster "pick a movie on us" deal that they throw out from time to time. Just excess inventory that they want off their hands...

12 Angry Men is a great remake of the original.
Romancing the Stone was my generation's best "Indiana Jones 2" (because, you know, the cheesy romance)

Heh, that's what I thought too.
I keep hearing good things about 12 Angry Men, so if you haven't seen it I'd say "free" is a good offer for it. Love Potion would be my 2nd choice.

For those who haven't seen it, you need five certificates from certain boxes of Kellogg's cereals. No shipping- totally free except for the stamp to mail them in. The DVD comes in an envelope sleeve instead of a plastic case in about four to six weeks. "Love Potion" is Sandra Bullock and 12 Angry Men is the remake. I haven't seen either of those. I ate raisin bran to earn mine!

The Man in the Iron Mask - unbelievably crappy movie
12 Angry Men - apathetic at best, horrible remake
Baby Boom - don't. just don't.
Honeymoon in Vegas - funny, nick cage + that woman with the foot-face
Agent Cody Banks :puke:
Hackers - funny (not in a good way) movie about hax0rs
It Runs in the Family - just not worth it
Return to Me :puke:
Trapped in Paradise :puke: Dana Carvey still blows
Johnny Dangerously - (Another crappy 80's movie - yeah I'm glad I accidentally saw it on cable and would never own it)
My BodyGuard - (extremely 80's teenager flick)
Twelve O'Clock High - crap
Far From Home - kids movie from the early 90's that even kids don't like
Romancing the Stone - (ok, but very 80's)
The Truth About Cats and Dogs :puke: horrible movie with that unfunny garafolo chick. no, really! I don't like her! can you tell?
Love Potion #9 :puke: just not worth the time.
The Beverly Hillbillies - do I need to say any more?
Catch That Kid :puke:
Lake Placid - There's a reason why David Kelley hasn't written another film since this crappy one.
Airheads - waste of film. Not even that funny when you have had 10 beers.
Jumpin' Jack Flash :puke: Back when Whoopie Goldberg was making (if you'd give her that much credit) movies, this was a really crappy "thief" flick
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes - you'll want your 110 minutes back
Dr. Doolittle - Eddy murphy in another unfunny, unentertaining film

I haven't but I would like to. Next time you plan to piss off 12 guys at the same time, let me know or send me the vid. :P
Seriously though, romancing the stone sounds like the only one on that list from the ones that I've seen that even sounds like it wouldn't be a waste of your time.

darn... it's a remake? it says it was released in 1957. so you are sure the original was before that?

If it isn't the remake, you're in luck - original cast includes Jack Klugman, Jack Wardenand Henry Fonda.
