i'm planning to switch to verizon from sprint and i know of friends who got good deals at like small asian-run shops. are they pretty reputable?

They're okay as long as they don't give you a postdated check to hold for one of their "in store rebates."

as long as you're not saying "this is too good to be true", you're probably ok.

ask around for what other people thought about them, and check to see how long they've been in business.
