To all you moms(and some dads) out there, who tirelessly tie shoes, clean runny noses, change diapers, go to soccer games, and worry endlessly that you're doing it all right-Happy Mother's Day!!!

For the first time in 16 years, I actually called my mother to wish her a Happy Mother's Day. (We weren't talking for that long). This year my brother and I decided to get in contact with her again because he's getting married next year and wanted to invite her to the wedding.
It was a great call and sure helped brighten my day (hearing how happy she was to hear from me).

Well I called my mom and sent her a card from me and DFJ.... Both cards were mailed at the same time at the same drop off point. DFJ's card made it, but mine didn't. Dayuuum postal workers!!!! I sure hope she gets it tomorrow.
As far as locally, I prepared dinner for DFJ's momma, his Grandmomma, and 3 of his aunts (all mothers) and a host of cousin's. Definitely had a full house here today.
On the menu... Grilled Pork Chops (in Barbeque, Sweet and Sour, and Plain flavors), baked potatoes, corn, salad, hot rolls... DFJ's Aunt brought a 7-Up cake for dessert! :lick:
Dinner was totally yummy... The GRILLMASTER has struck again! :D

For Mother's Day, I bought my wife a gift from the kids:
A gym membership.
Seriously.
Long story, but it's all good. Happy M-Day to all you Moms out there...

Nah.... I didn't make my own sauces (but my Dad used to back in the day), but he took his recipes for sauce to the grave with him.
For the barbeque, I used Cattleman's BBQ sauce, and the Sweet and Sour was this "grilling sauce" I picked up at Sam's club. I forget the name of it... something like "Yashiko Sweet and Sour Sauce" or something like that.
Either way, they were both yummy. :D

Watch it there... you "corporate capitalist yes man go getter' creative post quoter". :hmm:
Besides... postal workers get better benefits than we do... so no, they aren't the same.

Thanks. We had a shaky past, but I've now come to realize that I can't have another mother, and I'm willing to forgive her for how I was treated as a kid.
