My daughter is flying out to Los Angeles in July to visit a friend..anything she shouldn't miss while she's there? And why the heck are ticket prices so high to go there? She can get a round trip ticket to london for 50 dollars more than the ticket prices she's finding to go to LA..what gives?

Did you try JetBlue and Southwest, the two greatest airlines in the country? They generally have good prices.

I've never even heard of them myself..do you know if they fly to New York? She'll be flying out of the Syracuse Terminal..or Scranton PA if she has to..she just wants to get there without too many layovers or flight changes.

JetBlue flies to/from New York (Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, LaGuardia, and JFK). They're great, I highly recommend them. Leather seats with built-in DirectTV on every seat. Plus, in my experience, the staff has always been really nice and helpful.

jetblue is great, but prices are high. i want to fly to CA from DC and one way fares are up to $400!

but jetblue is still wonderful. :)
