It is now shortly after 10 am...since 7am this morning I have listened to the CONSTANT sound of a giant pneumatic sledge hammer pounding away on a metal bridge that is not too far from my home. BONG BONG BONG BONG BONG BONG BONG..it will continue till almost 5pm today..I have never heard anything so irritating as this sound that it is making..it's like a really steady clang of a single church bell ringing out the same note..(and not a good one at that)

ARRRRRRRRGH..

How about a jackhammer in your basement all day? :hihi:

Doesn't have the same "ring" to it as a metal bridge...but much much closer.

I'm sorry oblongmelon, I totally can relate, as you can read from BJ post. I also know what that sounds like as we have some new bridges being built in the areas I drive, So I hear it and it is really annoying. I couldn't imagine hearing it all day though.

Oh don't rip your hair out. I say go away for a while and come back when you have regained your sanity.

I spent the better part of the afternoon with Andrea Bocelli..unfortunately Mel wasn't available..I swear you can hear that dong dong dong sound all over town.

How about a jackhammer in your car (http://forums.gotapex.com/showthread.php?t=97732&highlight=jackhammer)?? :P

or you can always run for it! "Need to get away?" (http://www.iflyswa.com)

Time to take a nice long drive in your car...windows up, air conditioning on, and nice peaceful music. Stop to dinner somewhere in the next town, then come home.
