Flood Insurance

Isn't it amazing that the properties in New Orleans which should have had flood insurance get bailed out by the Federal Government but this week's flood victims in the Northeast who never expected what happened to their properties will probably get nothing?

I'm sure they will. Flood insurance is more often than not handled by the feds anyway. A good portion of the flooded houses in New Orleans likely didn't have any insurance at all to begin with.
