that's pretty poor driving by the SUV driver. another reason why they really aren't for everyone.

:stupid:

Swerved too quickly & then overcompensated. That'll get you every time.

This happened to me a few years ago when I was driving my eclipse awd in the snow. I was on the left lane and a trucker got close and closer to me and it didnt seem like he was going to move or wake up, whatever. Anyways, he ran me off the road, I went into the ditch and my car flipped topside. Luckily I had a roll bar in the car and my wife and I were OK. The trucker must have called the ambulance or something because I was able to push the car back on its 4 wheels and drive off.

Police said her SUV slid off the roadway. She tried to correct and then came back across the road. That's when her vehicle flipped and rolled about 10 times.

That is way too soft.

Police said she drove into the median to avoid a collision, then almost caused two more collisions, including one with a sheriff's car, by overcorrecting. Her SUV then rolled about 10 times. The other driver was issued a $20 ticket for not maintaining a proper lookout. The SUV driver was charged with endangering an officer of the law.

gotta link for the update?

btw, anyone else think these comments by the cops are a bit lame?

Bowness was wearing her seatbelt and police say it probably saved her life.

duh

Oakland County deputy Kimberly Potts was following close behind and it was her dashboard camera that caught the accident on tape, "I couldn't believe the number of times it flipped. This technically should have been a fatal. She flipped seven or eight times

techinically should have been fatal? what, like there's a manual that describes what should and shouldn't be fatal?

Damn Cheapie, those are some crappy roads you have up there in MI. That highway is in major need of a pave job.

And yeah, that lady is lucky to not be :dead:.

dude...you have no idea. the roads are atrocious. but most of it is due to the constant freezing and thawing and heavy truck traffic we have.

That's the same excuse that Illinois politicians (who give out the contracts to their cronies who end up doing shoddy work but never getting penalized for it) use. :hihi: I heard of some places that let the contracts based on who gives the longest warranty - I think that's a good idea.

Ehh, hadn't thought of that but it makes sense. Here in DC, there are some places that aren't much better. I think they're mostly due to crappy work / heavy usage though.

Can anyone make out the make/model of the car from the vid? I can't.
