Oh sweet busa how I love thee. Suzuki needs to be on their toes though. It's time for a busa redesign since kawasaki is nipping at their heels with the Ninja 14r.

A stock Hayabusa (with a professional rider) will run a 10 second quarter mile with trap speeds approaching 135 mph. Many top speed enthusiasts modify the motorcycle with turbochargers, and turbocharged Hayabusas hold many top speed records, including the FIM 1350cc world record of 252.832 mph (406.894 km/h). This is the fastest timed average (two way) anywhere in the world for an open wheel motorcycle, and the fastest AMA US record for an open wheel bike. During the record pass the onboard GPS recorded 261 mph (420 km/h) as a top measured speed.

Tell me about it... My BMW R90/6 is right at 60 HP and has more than adequate acceleration, even without really flogging it.

I once owned two 1968 Saab 96 sedans (not at the same time, long story...), both equipped with 1.5 liter V4 engines that produced a whopping 65 HP. They were fun around town because you could drive them just about flat-out WFO all the time. The interstate was a chore, especially in the mountains... They were geared so low that 60 MPH was about 4000 RPM - very buzzy. These cars also had a column-shift four-speed manual transmission, and a freewheeling option. Very unique.

I'd love to have another one as a toy.
