New Bicycle (Lemond)

So I've been cycing for exercise the last couple of months on an old 1978 Nishiki which was my dad's in med school... Well, i decided to get my own machine since i do enjoy cycling and ride about 100miles/week. I was getting a little beefier than i'm used to.

New, to me, 2006 Lemond Sarthe. It's a steel frame with a carbon fork, weighs 19lbs.

just the bike

brifters

rear shot

fork

top tube

I saw Lemond win the tour back in the early 90s. It was cool and very rare (then) having an American win the tour de France. I am assuming the bike is named after him in some way? Amazing carbon fiber work - can you imagine what Will and Orville Wright would say?

yeah it's 10 on the cassette and 2 on the chain rings so it makes it a 20 speed. my older bike is the standard 10spd.

It would be awesome to see that. I never saw lance either...

Yeah the bike is actually his brand that he started, they've since been bought out by trek.

the tech differences b/w this bike and the one i was riding previously just blew me away... I think those old guys would have fallen over.

thanks for the comments btw, both of you.
