Lexus IS250, nice car, fairly quick, nice to drive, fair fuel econ, bulletproof reliability.

it was a toss up between the acura TL and the lexuz is250. i only picked the is250 because my parents had a lexus for 16 years without any major tuneups. but yeah...i drove an is200 about 2 years ago, that thing handles great. i love it! the auto shift feature is good for getting a few more umphs from your engine. the TL is also nice. there are very few things i covet...and the TL is one of them.

From your list, I'd go with the G35 also.

Ok...if there's nothing on my list, what would you get but that's similar to the cars above (no hummers, crossovers, or economy cars)?

I heard the back of a IS250 is small and that you can't fit a bag of golf clubs in the trunk. True or false?

That's true since the IS is designed as a upscaled compact car not as a midsize like the TL and G35. If I am going to get an IS, it's going to be the IS350.

x3

When I was in Tokyo last month I saw some dude just tearing up the street in a 300C SRT8... it was big, loud and fast, and just stood out like a pro linebacker at a high school football game. I was so proud!

I say TL. In terms of power and the RWD, perhaps the G35 trumps the TL, but I happen to think the G35 is ugly as sin. Plus, speaking purely for myself, there's a point when I say, "eh, I don't really need much more power than this." and the TL meets that threshold. The G35's perks just don't outweigh its looks for me.

EDIT:
oh, and as for some of the other choices, I'm not really a sports car kinda guy, tho a friend of mine owns the Z and it is fun to drive. the only Benz I like is the SL (I know, it kinda contradicts my "not really a sports car guy" statement), and I absolutely hate the way BMWs feel. the Lexus is alright, but again, I've never been that big a fan of the IS's looks. I also like the Audi, sort of my guilty pleasure. that might be one of my alternate choices.

it seems like 1/2 of the cars are AWD and the others aren't. is AWD important to you?

I think so. If the TL had AWD and keyless start I would get it in a heartbeat.

It was a toss up between the bimmer and the g35. I had to go with the g35, that's a nice car for the $$ you pay... we're all about good deals here

i picked audi. if you would really like awd, feel like audi knows what they're doing with AWD

infiniti is a close second. really like their cars.

if i were in your shoes, i'd think about picking up an 04 or 05 330xi. not a fan of their latest gen styling, but thought the prev. was really elegant. save 10grand and pick up another toy.
