Automobile Service suggestions In your area - Ask questions here.

I'm looking for a good place in San Diego to get Automobile Service done on my Honda. A place that will do a good job at a fair price. When I took it in to have it checked out, there were things wrong with it that if the service was done right last time, shouldn't be wrong with it.

Does anyone in the SD area know of a good place?

I know there are a lot of SD people on the boards...

They belong to an automotive technician's forum that I frequent. The owner also teaches community college classes. I don't know them personally, but they have a great reputation.

Sorry to piggyback on this thread as well - but does anyone have a good contact for Honda service in the Sacramento/Rancho Cordova/Folsom area? I just moved the family to Folsom 6 months ago and need to get the ~100k services done on my Accord.

I'm looking for a good, reliable, honest place in Orange County, CA area as well. My 95 Civic is breaking down and I definitely don't want to get a new car. http://all-car.com/ looks really good, but I would prefer a place in the OC. Any referral would be appreciated! I'm in Buena Park. Thank you!!

Sorry I missed this thread. I know a guy that does Honda training out there, and I've sent him an email asking for a recommendation.

Kerechuk Motor Service in Alhambra is a place I can recommend highly for Honda and Acura service. http://www.kerechuk.com/

As Mike stated All-Car Specialists http://all-car.com/ is an excellent shop. The owner is an automotive instructor at ELAC.

Craig Johnson in Rowland Heights doesn't specialize in Honda or Acura, but is a full service shop. http://www.cjauto.net/idex.htm

Another full service shop in the Inland Empire is Chino Autotech. http://www.chinoautotech.com/page.php?1

I've known those shop owners a long time and they will take care of you. I own an auto repair shop in Los Angeles. I've known MechMike for a long time and I'm sure he will vouch for me.

Not only will I vouch for him, but here's some other things to consider:

  • He knows greater LA better than I ever will...
  • He gets his info from the same sources as I do, and...
  • He's one of the few people in this world I'd let work on my personal vehicles.
