I'd go with the TT. It has a turbo, and LOTS of companies provide go-fast parts if it isn't already fast enough for you. Tweaking a Boxster is expen$ive. The handling difference between the two is negligible in day-to-day driving.
As to the other posts, I'd also stay from the Saab and the new MR2 convertible. You do need a little praticality in any car, and the MR2 has no cargo room whatsoever. Well, ok, it'll hold a duffel bag. You can barely put a briefcase behind the seat. Can't even use it to take your significant other somewhere romantic for the weekend. And that's half the reason convertibles even exist! ![]() -o

The Lexus SC430 falls in the $60,000+ range, if I had that much money, I would probably go for the new M3, and use the money left over to buy me a Focus so i can take that to school.

MSRP is $59,000 and the invoice is $52,000. SC430 and M3 target at different market. They are both extremely nice car but for daily use, I'll choose SC430. For fun, M3 definitely.

Interestingly enough, I saw a SC430 on the walk home from work, and goodness gracious, what a turn off. From the front to front quarter, it's a gorgeous car. The guy pulled right in front of me, so I had a really good look into the cockpit, and holy crap, is it ugly inside.
Moreoever, it's got a severe case of the Jaguar S-type's from the rear quarter. Chubby and unattractive. Even if it was in my price range, it's got a "ngg-ngg" from my list. |

You'd choose the SC430 for anything? I would only choose it for crash testing... or for one of those "this is your auto car designer on drugs" commercials.
That's a nasty car. They took a great concept and twisted it for the sake of PT Cruiser-ish retro-junk style. I'd choose the M3 for both daily driving and fun. If those were my only choices, that is. |
